Call to Marriage and Singleness

27 So God created man in his own image,
    in the image of God he created him;

18 Then the Lord God said, “It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper fit for him.” 19 Now out of the ground the Lord God had formed every beast of the field and every bird of the heavens and brought them to the man to see what he would call them. Call to Serve in Spiritual Giftedness

¹⁹ Know this, my beloved brothers: let every person be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger; ²⁰ for the anger of man does not produce the righteousness of God. ²¹ Therefore put away all filthiness and rampant wickedness and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls.

Discerning Calling

11 I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep. 12 He who is a hired hand and not a shepherd, who does not own the sheep, sees the wolf coming and leaves the sheep and flees, and the wolf snatches them and scatters them. 13 He flees because he is a hired hand and cares nothing for the sheep. 14 I am the good shepherd. I know my own and my own know me, 15 just as the Father knows me and I know the Father; and I lay down my life for the sheep. 16 And I have other sheep that are not of this fold. I must bring them also, and they will listen to my voice. Struggling with Calling

It is often a struggle to follow through with what God has called us to do.

We might feel Unworthy (Luke 5:4-11esv)
We might feel Doubt (Matthew 14:24-33esv)
We might feel the desire to Deny Jesus (Matthew 26:74esv)

But, even with these struggles, love can overcome (John 21:1-18esv)

When you struggle, remember that Jesus is with you and his Love will cover you.

Calling to New Identity in Christ

Now the Lord said to Abram, “Go from your country and your kindred and your father's house to the land that I will show you. 2 And I will make of you a great nation, and I will bless you and make your name great, so that you will be a blessing. 3 I will bless those who bless you, and him who dishonors you I will curse, and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.”
